
About the Portfolio Facilities Manager Position
Parakeet Communities, LLC is a National Real Estate Investment Company which specializes in manufactured housing communities. We are seeking a Facilities Manager based in the State of Florida. This position will be responsible for multi-site maintenance of our communities.
Pay: $65,000 – Salary Based on Experience
LIST OF RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Demonstrates success in leading and motivating a team while meeting aggressive timelines
- Handle emergencies after hours and on weekends when needed
- Plan and organize staff scheduling. supervise, train and work side by side with employees on site
- Oversee and have hands-on knowledge of small construction projects, sewer back-ups, and water main breaks.
- Ensure that an accurate and detailed inventory of chemicals, equipment, and tools are in place at all designated locations.
- Negotiate 3 bids on special projects with vendors to ensure Parakeet is getting the best pricing /quality
- Oversight of daily operations of communities to ensure all debris, trash in common areas are picked up and the community is clean
- Ensure that entrances and common areas of communities are well taken care of
- Walkthrough inventory homes weekly. Conduct work in homes as needed for light construction
Knowledge/Skills that are necessary for the following areas
- Landscaping-Basic grounds, tree pruning. etc
- General Property Maintenance
- Construction (painting, drywall, plumbing a plus )
- Ability to operate mowers and heavy equipment
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3-5 years doing landscaping and property/commercial maintenance
- Must have strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Must have good written and verbal communication skills
- Flexibility to travel 50% of the time and work weekends as needed
- Be available and flexible to attend meetings as needed.
