Fort Macon State Park
Historic coastal fort with guided tours, nature trails, beach access, and exhibits.

Located on Bogue Banks which is a barrier island that runs parallel to the mainland in an East to West direction. This means we always have a summer breeze! Carteret County is rich in history with Beaufort, NC established in 1709.
Home to the Big Rock fishing tournament – the largest and oldest fishing tournament. Also home to the NC seafood festival – the largest festival in NC with local fresh seafood, rides, and music during the first weekend of October every year.
Enjoy the NC Aquarium, local seafood, waterparks, and many other attractions with Ft. Macon State Park less than 2 miles away and the beach only a 5 minute walk away.
